About this document
An interview schedule puts the week's interviews on one page — who's coming in, when, where, and who's interviewing them. It's logistics, plainly: the page that prevents two candidates in the same back office at 2pm.
When to use it
- More than two interviews in a week.
- Multiple interviewers sharing one space or one calendar.
- Times agreed over messages that need one written version.
Getting it right
- Leave buffer between slots — interviews run over, and a rushed second candidate gets a worse conversation through no fault of theirs.
- Describe the place in visitor terms ("back office — ask at the counter").
- Confirm the day before; the schedule doubles as your confirmation call sheet.
It schedules the conversations — it doesn't record how they went. The interview agenda, with its factual notes, is where that lives.
Part of Hire and onboard — the whole situation, connected.
Common questions
- Do candidates see the schedule?
- Each sees their own slot — time, place, who they'll meet. The full page with other candidates' names stays internal.
- An interviewer dropped out — reprint everything?
- Edit the row and download again; the newest file is the schedule. Files beat frozen printouts here.
- Do phone screens belong on it?
- Anything with a time and a person qualifies — the place column just reads "phone" or holds the video link's name.
