What we provide

A set of document templates you fill in, preview and download as PDF or Word files. Everything listed on this site is currently free to use, with no account and no watermark on the file.

The documents are a starting point

FormZip is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our documents record information you supply; they do not determine your legal rights or obligations, and using one does not create a lawyer-client relationship. You are responsible for checking that a document fits your situation, and for anything you send to another person using it. Where the outcome matters, confirm it with the official source for your state or with a licensed professional.

Your content is yours

What you type stays yours. We do not claim ownership of it, and — as described on the Privacy page — we do not store the contents of your documents. The documents you produce are yours to use, including for commercial purposes.

Our templates and site

The site itself, its wording, layout, code and document templates belong to us. You may use the documents you generate freely. You may not scrape or bulk-copy the templates or the site to build a competing service.

Fair use of the service

Please do not use FormZip to break the law, to impersonate someone, or to create documents you know to be false. We apply rate limits to keep the service available, and we may block use that damages the service for other people.

Availability

We aim to keep the site working, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may change or withdraw documents and features. We do not guarantee that a document will be accepted by any particular person, company, court or agency.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of a document — including a document that turns out not to suit your situation. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we add paid features, we will publish the terms that apply to them before you can buy anything.
