About this document

A goal planner takes one goal and spreads it across a single page: the goal and its target date at the top, why it matters, the concrete steps with boxes to tick, what could get in the way, and a running progress log. It's the difference between a wish on a sticky note and a plan you can pick up mid-month.

When to use it

  • A goal keeps slipping because it lives in your head instead of on paper.
  • You want the steps and the obstacles visible on the same page, not in separate notes.
  • You review progress weekly and want a log line for each session, dated in your own hand.

Getting it right

  • Write steps small enough to tick within a week or two — a step you can't finish soon is usually two steps.
  • Fill the obstacles box honestly before you start; the plan for each obstacle is worth more than optimism.
  • One goal per sheet. If two goals share a page, the weaker one quietly disappears.

It's a worksheet for a goal you chose, not coaching: it doesn't judge whether the goal is realistic, suggest milestones, or score your progress.

Common questions

Is this the same as the weekly planner?
No — there are no weekdays here. The weekly planner slices time; this page breaks down one goal, whatever the timeline is.
How many steps fit?
It depends on the sheet: the page shows the exact tick-box lines that will print, and bigger paper gives you more of them.
Can I track more than one goal?
Print one sheet per goal. Each download is a single page built around a single goal and its date.
